Do You Really Think A Five Day Seminar Contains Six Figure Information?

Ask any successful freight broker if they learned all they needed to know from a seminar. After the broker gives you a puzzled look and then laughs. You'll get your answer. These seminars can also just "hype" the business up and not really give you any substantial information. Sitting in a classroom takes away that equation, and you'll learn a lot slower. If you want to become a freight broker fast... just go out and book loads, don't try to get a passing grade from a professor who probably never had a load break down a hundred miles from it's delivery point.

Why anyone who would take this route would even pay someone is beyond me. You might as well just work as a broker's agent and get paid while you slowly learn the business. Mentors are great to ask a few questions... but " I'll train you over the phone and online. " has some major problems. First off not all brokers operate in the same market. The highly paid brokers are specialists in their fields. From referrals to overdimensional loads, you'll want to become a specialist in your field. If your mentor doesn't align with your field, you've just wasted thousands of dollars. If you want to make six figures when you become a broker then learn from a broker who's already making six figures. I can guarantee that broker will be a specialist and not a Jack of all trades.
